- Calendar: 180 Day / School-Year Employee
- Daily Schedule: M-F - 7:15 am - 3:00 pm

Qualifications:
- Issued Illinois Professional Educator License
- Bilingual Education Teacher Endorsement with Spanish designation required
- Content Area Endorsement (Science or Math) preferred
- Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process
- Sincere interest in young adults and a philosophy of humaneness as an educator
- Ability to work closely with other staff members
Responsibilities:
- Teach and/or co-teach content area courses for multilingual students in varied classroom settings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide appropriate and affirming instruction and support for students with diverse levels of linguistic proficiency.
- Plan and implement instruction and assessment for multilingual students using engaging, culturally responsive methods and materials.
- Collaborate effectively and enthusiastically as part of a team to support all students.
- Assist in administering ACCESS testing and other assessments as needed.
- Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district teachers.
The District:
- The McHenry High Schools provide a comprehensive education for approximately 2,300 students.
- The district has two four-year (9-12) high school campuses a mile and a half apart.
- Class scheduling is a traditional eight-period day, 45-minute class periods, and a 45-minute lunch.
- Approximately 75% of our graduates attend post-secondary educational or vocational institutions
