Start Date: Immediate 

Terms of Employment:

• Full-Time, 1.0 FTE
• Location: Upper Campus - traveling between camupses may be required
• Responsible To: Building Principal and District Division Chair of CTE
• Calendar: 180 Day / School-Year Employee (prorated based upon start date)
• Daily Schedule: M-F - 7:15 am - 3:00 pm
• Salary and Benefits: Eligible for medical benefits and paid leave. Salary is based on years of experience and education attainment. Please see the McHenry Community High School Educators’ Association Collective Bargaining Agreement located at www.dist156.org for more information on salary and benefits. 

Qualifications:

• Issued Illinois Professional Educator License
• Industrial Technology endorsement or equivalent is required
• Metals / Manufacturing endorsement is preferred
• Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process
• Ability to work closely with other staff members

Responsibilities:

• Teach 9-12th grade high school students in the CTE division
• Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district teachers

The District:

• The McHenry High Schools provide a comprehensive education for approximately 2,300 students
• Class scheduling is a traditional eight-period day, 45-minute class periods, and a 45-minute lunch
• McHenry High School has recently completed a 70,000 square foot Center for Science, Technology, and Industry
• The district has opened a new 3500 square foot advanced manufacturing facility in this new Center with four new HAAS CNC machines, over 20 other manual and computer driven machines, and 10 welding booths
• The district enrollment in the manufacturing program is approx. 240 students
