Calendar: 180 days + 6 float days as assigned

Daily Schedule: M-F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Hours Per Day: 8 hours per day which includes a 15-minute paid break

Unpaid meal break: 30-minute
- Hourly Rate: $28.56

Benefits: Eligible for medical benefits and paid leave. IMRF participation is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse credentials
- Strong computer skills
- Candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision
- Must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices
- Maintain student health records
- Facilitate student health assessment/screenings
- Complete medical reviews/ health histories
- Accurately store and dispense medication
- Consult with teachers, parents, and team members
- Write and maintain health plans and medical 504's
- Notify parents and building administrators regarding students who are severely ill or injured
- Lead professional development training to all staff as assigned (ie. Diabetes Training)
- Submit accurate and timely reports as required by various health agencies and the state
- Assume authority to provide emergency care for ill and injured students on school premises until emergency personnel arrive, under the supervision of the building administration
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed).
- Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
- Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting and as needed in noisy and crowded environments.
- Must possess the physical strength to occasionally assist in lifting students.
- Must be able to bend and perform CPR as needed.
