- Calendar: 180-day, School-Year Calendar + 35 Summer Days
- Compensation: is commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with a Principal endorsement or similar certification is required.
- Must be endorsed in the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) to evaluate certified staff.
- Ability to model high levels of character, integrity, best practices in teaching, appropriate professional demeanor, interactions, and conduct.
- 5 years of experience in teaching.
- Successful background in building or district leadership is preferred.
- An ability to foster positive student/school/community relations.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, administration, the Board of Education, and the community.
- Excellent work ethic.
- The ability to come to work on a regular basis and to be timely.
- Ability to attend evening events as assigned.
- Ability to travel between District building sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices.
- Serve as the operational administrator for the Freshman Campus.
- Serve as the primary disciplinarian for students attending the Freshman Campus.
- Oversee day-to-day building operations of the Freshman Campus, including room assignments, staff locators, bell schedules, and supervision schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate safety activities and drills for the building.
- Oversee the assignment of student locks and lockers, student and staff pictures, ID cards, and furniture.
- Assist the District Assessment lead in organizing and administering all standardized testing at the Freshman Campus.
- Serve on the Freshman Campus Problem Solving Team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the Buildings & Grounds Department, Food Service Department, Transportation Department, and Security Department.
- Work with Upper Campus administration to complete the District Handbook and Master Calendar.
- Oversee student attendance to ensure accuracy and oversee and/or complete monthly and annual attendance reporting requirements.
- Support the Book Depository clerk on textbook records and textbook issuance to students as needed.
- Assist the Building Principal with the planning and implementation of events, including the staff wellness screening, Freshman Rally/Materials Pickup, UC Sneak Peek, and Parent Engagement night.
- Assist the Building Principal in hiring and evaluating Certified and Educational Support Personnel as assigned.
- Assist the Building Principal in implementing the district strategic plan and long-range planning for facilities, instructional, and furniture needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed).
- Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
- Exposure to noise and activity in a school setting.
