• This long-term substitute position is anticipated to be from 08/11/2025 - 10/10/2025

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach during a long-term absence as a Special Education Instructor.
• Serve as a Special Education Case Manager to assigned students.
• Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district educators.
• Will be directly responsible to the Building Principal and Director of Special Education or designee. 

Qualifications

• A minimum of Illinois Substitute Teaching License is required.
• Issued Illinois Professional Educator License is preferred.
• LBS1 9-12th grade endorsement is preferred.
• Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process.
• Ability to work closely with other staff members. 

Compensation

• $135 per day for the first 10 consecutive days
• $257.21 per day after 10 consecutive days
