Start Date: 09/08/2026

This long-term substitute position is anticipated to be from September 8, 2026, through November 29, 2026.  

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach during a long-term absence as a Special Education Instructor.
• Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district educators.
• Will be directly responsible to the Building Principal or designee. 

Qualifications

• A minimum of Illinois Substitute Teaching License is required.
• Issued Illinois Professional Educator License is preferred.
• LBS1 9-12th grade endorsement is preferred.
• Ability to engage students to actively participate in the learning process.
• Ability to work closely with other staff members. 

Compensation

• $135 per day for the first 10 consecutive days
• $262.35 per day after 10 consecutive days
