Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or technical degree in a Technology-related field, Education degree with computer experience, or 5 years of job-related experience.
- Professional certifications from vendors such as: Microsoft, Cisco, and Google.
- Three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise-level hardware and software.
- Ability to model high levels of character, integrity, best practices, appropriate professional demeanor, interactions, and conduct.
- Ability to foster positive student/school/community relations.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Ability to come to work on a regular basis and to be timely.
- Ability to travel between campuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices.
- Coordinate, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technology Department.
- Keep up-to-date with technology trends and advancements and make recommendations for professional development opportunities for staff as well as recommendations for inclusions in the district technology plan.
- Evaluate Technology department members as assigned.
- Work with Technology department members to create an annual budget for building technology needs.
- Oversee the day-to-day distribution, implementation, and functionality of audio-visual systems and make recommendations for scheduled rotational maintenance and replacement.
- Create and maintain the clock systems for the buildings, configure and manage the phone system for the district, and assist with all other communication systems as assigned.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of printing software, devices, and support in the district.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Apple Mobile Device Management (MDM) and related systems.
- Ensure the operational functionality and adherence to industry standards of technology hardware infrastructure and assist with other infrastructure as assigned.
- Maintain the Technology Help Desk ticket system and oversee the assignment of tickets to technology department members.
- Optimize the day-to-day operations of local user services and Google Workspace Services to improve the efficiency and functionality of the end-user experience.
- Assist with the proper operation, functionality, and reporting of the fee processing systems, including the Point of Sale system, used in the district.
- Implement and manage the day-to-day operations of technology asset management.
- Optimize and maintain the day-to-day operations of the technology network services security plan.
- Oversee the function, maintenance, and replacement of hardware locking mechanisms in the district.
- Oversee the daily operations of card access user management and badges for internal and external use.
- Oversee the daily operations of network video recorders and the required hardware/software maintenance of the devices.
- Manage the day-to-day operations for the wired and wireless network including completing needed preventative maintenance as well as performing updates and upgrades.
- Assist with technology compliance items as assigned by the Technology Director.
- Participate in various committees as assigned by the Technology Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time working with a computer terminal.
- Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed).
- Ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 25 pounds unassisted.
- Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting.
