Qualifications:

  1. Issued Illinois Professional Educator License
  2. LBS1 endorsement is required
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills
  4. Ability to work effectively with community stakeholders, agencies, staff, parents, and students
  5. Ability to stimulate students to actively participate in the learning process


Responsibilities:

  1. Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices
  2. Facilitates and writes all aspects of each student’s IEP, including a summary of performance for senior students
  3. Progress monitor (academic, behavioral, and executive functioning skill data) and update semester IEP goals
  4. Provide direct and indirect services to students on caseload
  5. Collaborate with general education teachers on meeting students' accommodations and modifications
  6. Ensure special education and related services and supports are provided as per student’s IEP
  7. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student academic progress
  8. Attends required team meetings
  9. Other duties as assigned
